Unfortunately, as a peony absolute doesn’t exist commercially, this formula relies on a blend of naturals and synthetics to replicate peony’s airy floral character that’s reminiscent of rose. This formula is built around an upcycled Damask rose absolute called Rose Ultimate, chosen for its rich, sweet, leathery green multi-faceted depth that complexifies the profile to that of the living flower. Surrounding this, peony and rose-centric aroma chemicals lend toward the rosy petal dew. Mimosa absolute is included to naturalise the formula and add a waxy feel that’s present in the Chiffon Parfait.

The result is what a peony absolute would be, if it existed. An airy, sweet floral, authentic peony that’s true to the Chiffon Parfait.
