With fig leaf extracts being prohibited by IFRA for use within perfumery, and no other natural extract available on the market for this application, we must recreate fig with a careful choice of naturals and aroma chemicals to authentically replicate the scent of the wonderfully delicious Rouge de Bordeaux fig.

At the heart of this composition lies Stemone, the quintessential material for achieving a true-to-life fig leaf character - it’s distinctly green, watery, floral, with subtle fruity undertones. Gamma Octalactone contributes a sweet creamy, coconut, almost tuberose facet, imparting lactonic richness and smoothness to the base that would otherwise be overwhelmingly green. Together, along with the modifiers, these materials establish a convincing core, serving as the structural basis upon which additional nuances are built to achieve realism and depth.

The result is a naturalistic Rouge de Bordeaux impression that spotlights the fruity sweetness, remaining well-balanced and refined.
