With fig leaf extracts being prohibited by IFRA for use in perfumery, there is no other natural fig extract available on the market for this application. This formula has been carefully developed to authentically replicate the scent of the wonderfully delicious Rouge de Bordeaux fig using a selection of aroma chemicals and natural extracts.

At the heart of this composition lies Stemone, the quintessential material for achieving a true-to-life fig leaf character - it’s distinctly green, watery, floral, with subtle fruity undertones. Gamma Octalactone contributes a sweet creamy, coconut, almost tuberose facet, imparting the lactonic richness and smoothness to the accord that would otherwise be overwhelmingly green. Together, these materials establish a convincing core, serving as the structural basis upon which additional nuances are built to achieve realism and depth.

The result is a naturalistic Rouge de Bordeaux impression that spotlights the fruity sweetness, remaining well-balanced and refined. This composition faithfully captures the almost edible aroma of the fig.
