Ageing • As with all of our perfumes, once compounded, this fine fragrance is macerated for a minimum of one month, with a minimum of one month of maturation.

"We set out above Raches while the village is still shrugging into the day, following stone steps that stitch the hillsides as pines sift the early light, and cicadas set a steady tempo. As the path narrows and dips, the talk of town falls behind and the island trades it for sounds of footfall, a distant chapel bell, and wind running its fingers through the terraces.

The gorge gathers around us in a cool, deliberate hush. Water slides under a sun-bleached plank bridge, reeds lean and right themselves in the breeze, dragonflies sketch brief glints and vanish. Along a bend, a row of painted bee boxes waits in the shade, and a keeper’s thin ribbon of smoke drifts across the trail, taking the pace down a notch, and the mind steadies to the rhythm of small discoveries.

Then the walls of the gorge open and the sound changes again. The river unspools into the cove at Nas, where one step is river-cold and the next is salt-warm, and the heat of the day softens into something generous. We sit on rounded stones and watch the line of the path above turn from track to memory. That is Ikaria: a long walk teaching us a slower clock, gorge to shoreline, effort unwinding into ease, and the feeling that stays with you long after you depart.”
