Mediterre opens with Sicilian tangerine, green mandarin and cedrat, enriched with mandarin petitgrain and the dry aromatic warmth of thyme.

At the heart, orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine sambac, stephanotis and oleander create a lush white-floral accord, lifted by the scent of sea air. Green fig brings a milky, leafy freshness, while seaweed adds a darker marine undercurrent beneath the flowers.

The base is dry, mineral, and sun-warmed. Sandalwood and olivewood sit alongside ambergris, mimosa and woody ambers, with sea salt adding a briny edge. Labdanum and decalepis root add warmth and depth as the citrus and florals begin to recede.

Base notes • Sandalwood oil, ambergris accord, olivewood accord, mimosa absolute, woody ambers, sea salt accord, select musks, decalepis root absolute, labdanum absolute.

Ageing • As with all of our perfumes, once compounded, this fine fragrance undergoes three months of maceration, and one month for maturation.

Inspiration

"Morning finds the port with shutters still cool and the sea keeping time against the quay. Orange trees lean over a white wall where petals drift down and brush a linen collar as the lane curls toward the water. A waiter cracks ice into small glasses and the air lifts bright, green, lightly floral-like clean linen shaken out in sun.

Down on the pier, rope warms, varnish wakes, and spray dusts the lip with a quick taste of salt before the breeze turns soft again. Steps run hot underfoot, tile, stone, and citrus trace a horizon that smooths the brow.

By late afternoon the light goes silkier, shadows lengthen under cypress, and the day settles into that easy, sea-washed clarity only these coasts know."
