Our Place Is Paris opens with folded Sicilian green mandarin oil, crisp and bright, sharpened by the fizz of pink pepper CO₂. A subtle nectarine accord brings the softness of sun-warmed skin for a sweet intimate glow. The heart turns couture, jasmine sambac absolute is fruity and alive, orange blossom absolute narcotic and luminous, rose de Mai absolute plush and dewy, all cradled by a soft modern iris accord. Blackcurrant bud absolute and a blackcurrant accord cut through with a green, inky tang, helping keep the sweetness elegant. Sandalwood, woody ambers and exalting musks finish close to the body, with a touch of Peru balsam absolute adding subtle warmth and a spiced vanillic undertones.

"They carried a paper-wrapped bouquet and a warm loaf up the narrow stairs that smelled faintly of stone and soap. In the apartment the tall windows swung open, letting in the soft hiss of tires on wet boulevard and the clink of glasses from the café below.
Petals slipped into a jam jar, crumbs dotted the sill, and a breeze lifted the curtain and set the room to breathing. They ate the crust with salted butter, passing it back and forth, watching the lamps blink on along the river until the bridges looked like a string of small vows. A laugh went quiet, a hand found a wrist, and the evening settled into that weightless place between supper and night.
No speech was needed, only the city answering in lights and water. Their home was this window, this bread, a moment shared over the street.
