Starlit Secrets and Desert Sands opens with Sicilian green mandarin, marjoram and cardamom, a cool aromatic brightness before the composition begins to darken into mysterious depths.
Rose de Mai and Isparta rose form the heart, their softness drawn through orris root, iris, rosemary and cabreuva wood. Virginian cedarwood adds dryness and structure, while incense and cinnamon begin to deepen the floral accord, giving the roses a darker, more resinous character.
The base is vast and densely layered. Vietnamese oud, patchouli, sandalwood and Hiba wood sit beneath Omani Hojari frankincense and myrrh, joined by leather, tobacco, oakmoss, guaiac wood and Brazilian vetiver. Ciste, Peru balsam, Laotian benzoin and gurjun add warmth and extend the resinous depth, while decalepis root, clary sage, amyris and woody ambers extend the darker woody facets. Exalting musks bring a clean lift through the weight of the composition, leaving the incense and rose suspended above the woods.
